    Cover Reveal Deets & Such

GUYS! LOL! ^_^ Exciting announcements time! First thing, I remembered how the template I used last year for the print book is supposed to be eBook compatible, so I’m going to try uploading it and letting the eBook people convert it…I’m not comfortable, but it’s supposed to work. Haha. I’m getting my book back from the proofreader this weekend (according to her last email), so I’m trying to decide if I should spend my 3-Day weekend formatting and reading my book or binging Game of Thrones. I also have a book I want to finish this weekend. Formatting is in first place. Haha. I’m excited about season 7, but like,…

The DIY Publishing Diary: Volume Seven

Hey, hey! ^_^ A lot of things happened this month! I published a book, I uploaded some videos to YouTube, I got some sleep. 🙂 So, what’s on the topic agenda this week? Marketing. I know everyone says not to stop marketing book one to work on book two, but I don’t know what to do right now. I guess I need to listen to more marketing stuff on my podcasts, but a lot of the things I read say that all marketing efforts are more effective when you have more than one book out, at least as an indie author. Official Publishing News & Stuff

‌Hey, hey! Firstly, I’m over at Crystal Collier’s today for the Truth & Lie Game! Hop over and laugh at how many times I’ve gotten lost. ^_^ Next up: Announcement Time: “Winter’s Siren” has an official release date and an official blurb! More on that later. I first want to talk a little bit about confidence and gut checking. ^_^ When I made the decision to publish NO REST FOR THE WICKED, the original plan was to wait for my beta to tell me it wasn’t trash and THEN make a decision. But it was like, I either think that thing is good or I don’t. The notes should only serve…

The DIY Publishing Diary: Volume Six

NO REST FOR THE WICKED comes out in two weeks!! OMG! 😀 MONTH SEVEN I’ve learned a lot about timing these last several weeks. For one, I realized that had I known what I was doing, I could have released my book a month earlier. But you know what “they” say, I rather have too much time to prepare than not enough. It’s like when I’m traveling, and I have no idea where I’m going, I like to leave early in case I get lost along the way. A girl gets lost sometimes. This month, I decided to go with IngramSpark instead of using NookPress. (I know, right! Less than one…

The DIY Publishing Diary: Volume Five

MONTH SIX This was a busy month! Since my last update, I’ve gotten to hold physical copies of my books in my hand, and the energy coming off of them feels so good! ^_^ I got proofs from Createspace and NookPress. NookPress uses Ingram/Lightning Source as their printer. In case anyone was wondering about the print quality differences between the two, here are my thoughts: The print quality in general is very, very similar. Createspace flattened my interior graphics a little, which made them look a little textured. This doesn’t bother me, but NookPress/Ingram didn’t do that. Createspace uses slightly lighter ink and heavier paper, which means the books weigh an ounce more…
