    Updated Rewriting Plans & NaNoWriMo

NaNoWriMo is underway, so I have a nearly mid-month word count update below. 😀 I wanted to talk about rewriting again, because it’s relevant to the work-in-progress. ^_^ I woke up one day with a solution to the larger “Puppet Box” issues! Just like BOOM. Solved. 😛 Actually, I had a dream the night before that I was a werewolf, and I was all stressed because I was trying to hide it from my neighbors so they wouldn’t try to kill me, but my guide was all like, “No, you’re hiding so you don’t have to kill them.” And for some reason there was this super creepy Santa-thing in a…

Let’s Talk About Being A Miserable Writer

All right. I’ve tried four times now to write this post without it being super long, so let’s try a different approach. 😀 For starters, I changed projects and signed it up for NaNoWriMo. I’m not typically a fast starter, so this might not go well, but I’m doing a rewrite, like a complete, from scratch, rewrite so maybe that will help? I signed up with this project in 2015, but didn’t end up participating because I couldn’t get myself together. I’m 100% ready to start this time, but we’ll see. For the official record: working name of the project is “The Inescapable.” Version one was written early 2016, and…

    Current Project Writing Update

Guys, I tried to change projects again. Hear me out! Lol! Basically what happened is that I was just having a hard time. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, the problem isn’t that I sit down to write and can’t get any words to come. The problem is that I don’t sit down to write in the first place. The whole reason I’m having to rewrite this story in first place is because I got scared and wrecked last time. So imagine my surprise when I sit down to rewrite it and I’m scared again. Who knew I’d have to deal with some of the same issues I faced…

    Writing Game Plan: Rewrite Edition

Now that the metaphorical cat is out of the box, alive and well thankyouverymuch, I’m going to talk about my plan for rewriting the stories that are haunting me. When I talked about changing projects last week, I realize that I didn’t actually say what I was working on now, so I’m going to cover that here, because it’s related to the rewriting talk. First up are code name “Winter” and code name “Sparrow.” These are the two I wanted to work on the most, and while I picked “Winter” to write first, I couldn’t help but get “Sparrow” started. The first chapter of “Sparrow” ended up being over 5000…

Changing Projects For The 900th Time :D

Hi! (waves) So, I wanted to talk about why I changed projects. Again. For the 900th time. 😀 Exciting things happen in the “Phantom Silence” project, and I could make myself write it, but I don’t like “making” myself write, especially since I don’t have to. I wanted to write, so that wasn’t the problem. I was just all kinds of unmotivated, and nothing was helping. Every time I opened my project, I was bored, so I was like, “why don’t I just have a dead body show up?” But it’s like, the story doesn’t need a dead body. I actually had a dead body in my mental outline. But…
