    Latest Project News

Yep, I totally skipped out on blogging last week. I know everyone missed me so much!! 😛 Anyway, so…I was completely mental last week. It’s nothing that doesn’t happen from time to time. The only difference is, I was actually doing pretty well before, so to fall on my face like that after doing really well for about two months, well, it wasn’t great. And I’m still not back to my normal level of sanity, but I did finally settle on a project. What’s that? you say. Hadn’t I already settled on a project? Why, yes, I had. And in typical me fashion, I had a huge fit all over…

    Once There Was An Excerpt

🙂 The editing process is officially underway for HOUSE OF FALLING EMBERS, and I have an official release date: October 1, 2018! I can’t share a blurb yet. Blurb is not written. It’ll come with the cover though. Cover reveal to happen first of September. I normally have a blurb done by now, but I do have a plot summary of sorts in my notes somewhere. I’m not too far into editing, but getting the ball rolling is the absolute hardest part for me. Only gets more fun from here! And I love the story so far. 😛 I’m on the parts that make me laugh now, but I cried…

    Let’s Talk: Juggling Projects

Okay. Disclaimer. LOL! After all the bellyaching I did last year about juggling projects and how I burnt myself out and yada, yada, you would think I wouldn’t be about to say what I’m about to say. So, I’m going to try editing and drafting at the same time. I KNOW! But hear me out. LOL! My theory is that juggling projects the way I was last year doesn’t work, because I was trying to edit and draft in the same time slot: at night. So, I was constantly switching back and forth between laser focus and happy drafting mode, which is inarguably and considerably more relaxing and stuff. My…

Dance of the Queue Fairy – Part Two

My story backlog has gotten pretty ridiculous thanks to spending a great deal of time in a neurotic sweat hut. It’s been hard for me to focus, but I found a quote the other day that said, “Motivation comes from within.” Which means, only I could find it. So, I did. Thanks largely to my family putting up with my mood swings and giving me copious amounts of hugs. ^_^ Right now, of course, I’m working on “Winter’s Siren” – a retelling of a classic tale that is going well and should be done by the end of this month! More deets on the inspiration at a later date. I worried that this…

Dance of the Setting Fairy – Part Two

In true me fashion, I changed what story I’m going to work on next after making an official announcement. Lol! I’ve been working on the current project for a few weeks now, but it’s not “The Puppet Box” as I originally intended, in case you didn’t notice its absence in the sidebar. Despite the fact that probably half of the story was already outlined, I have had to change a few things, and those changes have rendered the outline largely, but not entirely, unusable. I was dying to write and didn’t want to wait on a fix, so it’s been pushed back. But everything is good now, and it will very possibly…
