    Random Life Updates

So…I’m moving. I’m currently in a townhouse, and the plan is to move into a house with a manageable yard, even though I have zero intention to mow anything myself. In some ways, this was kind of a rash decision. I didn’t plan to move this year. When I started decluttering my house last month, it was specifically because I thought it would be at least another year before I moved, and I didn’t want to wait until then to start getting rid of stuff. But I have been wanting to move for two years, so actually, this was a totally un-rash decision. ^_^ I’m not exactly sure what part…

    KonMari-ing My House

So, whilst I was waiting for my computer, which did come in on Friday, and she’s beautiful, I watched Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix and decided to declutter my entire house. Obviously, I was being too ambitious for my own good. BUT, I had already started decluttering my desk, so I was so ready to motivate myself to do more. 😀 The KonMari Method, as it’s called, suggests tidying up by category instead of location, and you start with clothing and that involves taking ALL the clothes out, from wherever they are, and putting them all in a single location. Late Autumn Rambling

A few weeks ago, I woke up to an email from a non-fiction author about how he gets lazy this year (#same), and that to counteract this, he was going to add a long list of things to accomplish by the end of the year, in addition to whatever else he has to do. The Top Secret Trilogy is a Top Secret Duology again. Ha… So, I got confused. In my defense, I’ve never committed to writing a duology or trilogy or quadrilogy before. It was always, “we’ll see.” And well, I saw and the answer was no. The confusion with this project happened because book one is in two parts. It’s not like I’ve never written a two-parter before, it’s just been a long-ass time, and you know, I forgot what that looks like. After the first climax, I naturally assumed that was it. I didn’t know there was more! In my head, book two, now part two, always felt incomplete on it’s…

    The Amazing 2013…

I had such high hopes for this year. Thirteen is half of my favoritest number, making it favoritest odd number. (Yep.) But alas, it just didn’t live up to the hype. I spent most of the year watching all my hopes and dreams fall to ruin around me. cue slow melodramatic drum solo “Here dreams. Over here. No, not there. I said NOT THERE!!” hiss I just knew if any year would be great it would be 2013. I was working on something that didn’t have blood-sucking fiends in it for the first time in 5 years! (And only the 2nd time in 10!) I loved what I was writing.…
