    When I started NRFTW, I had no idea it took place in a pre-existing supernatural world. I’m not going to get into all the known settings and entities that exist in my head, but when it comes to that world specifically, it’s inarguably the biggest, oldest, and one that I understand the best.     It was a dark and stormy night…

    …Kitty had just turned off her lamp when there came a soft knock on the door downstairs. Frowning, Kitty threw the covers off and paddled down to the front door. She rose up on her tiptoes and peeked through the peep hole. Given that it was dark and stormy outside, she couldn’t see more than a human-shaped shadow on her patio. “It’s nearly midnight,” Kitty whispered to herself.
