    Goals! Let’s Talk About Goals!

😀 Hi. It’s me. Back in the hot seat exposing my ill-begotten dreams of 2020. It was going to be super productive and amazing, and I would not only get my creative life back on track, I would conquer ALL the other goals as well. Obviously, none such things happened. First. Things change. Change is my achilles heel. Second. 2020 was crazy and busy and weird and exhausting and kind of good but also a mess. Third. I had 10 freaking goals for 2020. That’s too many. Let’s talk about them. First, the goals I met.  One: Read 53 Books I did this. I read 59. It was a good year…

    Random Life: Books & Unpacking

Guys!! There’s going to be a reading update next month! I’m hoping to finish one more book by month’s end. I don’t think that’s going to happen, but I’m excited to be reading with some consistency again. 😀 Especially since I’m not sure I can keep to my book spending goal. Like, I was trying to not buy too much more than 26 books this year, but it’s July, and I’m at 25. Technically, I’m over that, but I’m not counting some of them since I was buying them more for decoration, even though I’m totally planning on reading them as well. Lol! This goal is mostly to help me…

Random Life: Changing One of My Goals Already

For some reason, I thought it would be a great idea to study a foreign language this year. To clarify, the goal of studying a language is not the problem. I took French for a year in high school. LOVED it. Then my parents moved to boonyville. They only had Spanish. So the one Spanish kid at school had to take Spanish. It’s so…a bunch of things. So I was forced to take Spanish with a teacher who was lovely, but who moved so slowly through the material that I thought I was going to lose my mind. She was literally supposed to move twice as fast because they’re on…

Final Reading Update of 2019 & 2020 Goals

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Happy 2020! Confetti canyon and all that jazz. 😀 It’s New Year’s Day and what better day to wrap up the previous year and lay the foundation for the new year than New Year’s Day?! Also, it’s Wednesday. And on Wednesdays, we post a blog. ^_^ (Mean Girls reference for the win.) First, what books did I finish in December? 59: The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek Author: Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal Genre: Horror/Supernatural Rating: 5 stars I was surprised by how good this was, but I probably shouldn’t have been. I forget how much writing experience they have. Rhett and Link are my favorite Youtubers,…

Goals: 2018 Wrap Up and 2019

GUYS! 😀 It’s here! The last post of the year! ^_^ First – still working on the same story. Ha. Actually working. And for the first time in I don’t know how long, I haven’t gone back and edited the first chapter a gazillion times. I was happy with it, so I moved on. Didn’t even know that was possible. I was definitely dragging my feet a lot, but one weekend I started thinking about a musical adaption idea I have and how I should write the idea down (and a couple of others) so I’ll remember to check in on it later, and naturally, I got super excited and…
