    March Reads & Other Updates

So, I didn’t do a lot of reading last month. For anyone who missed it, I’m back in my writing chair and juggling three projects (the poetry book and two paranormal projects and I’m having a blast), and I also decided to stop making to-do lists because frankly, I don’t care how much I get done anymore. Lately, caring has made me less productive, because I get stressed and then curl into a ball and do nothing. This isn’t to say I don’t give myself reminders. I still need those. And I also still have a TBR of books I want to read soon-ish, but that isn’t stressful. It’s flexible,…

    Writer Burnout & Pandas

Happy New Year!! 😀 Ohmigosh, you guys! This time last year feels like it was so long ago. A lot of things changed last year, most of them internal, but when I think about it all, it really reminds me of how long a year is and how much time we truly have to make changes and reach goals. This time last year, my hair was straight, I had two books out in the world, and I still ate dairy once in a while – something I’m quite allergic to so I suffered on the regular. Now I’m curly haired for the first time since I was like ten or…

    Writing & Stuff

GUYS! ^_^ The writing struggle was real this past month. Here are some things I wish I could remember between projects: How intimidated I am by the blank page. How hard it is to settle on the next project. How often I decide on a project only to change my mind a week later. The fact that I sometimes freak out and stress out and flail around to the point where I feel crazy. The fact that I might want to quit writing because it feels hard and impossible and I don’t know how I ever got a story out at all ever. Like, I wish I knew what I…

    New Adventures in QueryTracker Land

So, I’ve had an account on QueryTracker.net for about 4 years now, and they have two account options: free membership and premium membership for $25 a year. Last year, they did a bit of remodeling. Things were updated and moved around. Templates were changed. Anywho, I had a premium account for a couple of years because I’m crazy and like to stalk the internet and obsess about crap. However, I recently decided to stop being SUCH a nutball, so I went back to the regular membership to calm my happy butt down. I assumed all of my stuff was where I left it. I even went in earlier this year to make…

    The Sky Is Falling!!…Or Not

A couple of weeks ago, I had an a/c repair guy over to fix my unit because it stopped cooling AND stopped spinning outside. A week and a half later, I had another repairman over to fix a leaking faucet. Between these two events, I had two online purchases come in broken and had to deal with that. Then I got a sinus infection due to consuming a delicious caesar salad (which I can’t eat because of the parmesan, and I KNOW this! boohoo!) This same weekend I found out a publisher I wanted to query doesn’t like ghosts, and I have something that can be considered ghosts in my…
