    That End of Year Post: 2015 Edition

    I’m not going to lie – I accomplished very little writing this year. I don’t feel terrible because I accomplished other things and reached some other goals, but this is the first year I haven’t finished anything since 2010. From Day One, I had all kinds of issues leftover from 2014, because that was, in hindsight, a rougher year on the old brain than I initially thought. In January, I took the month off from writing after finishing my 2014 NaNo project, because I was depleted, and I thought some extra distance would help.     The Story Isn’t Going To Write Itself…

I’ve been thinking about goals lately (guess there’s something in the air) and while I’m not a fan of making “New Year’s Resolutions,” I am a fan of setting goals and working towards them. Usually I make goals like, “Finish story XYZ by 123.” But I don’t ever say HOW I’m going to do that. I don’t make sure I’m setting aside time to write.
