    LibraryOffice Update

Hello! ^_^ So before I get to the photos, I wanted to talk a little bit about what I ended up doing. Originally, I wanted an entire wall filled with shelves, not quite going up to the ceiling because I’m short, along with a basic desk with a drawer or two to house my ridiculous pen collection. I considered custom shelving, but as my budget for everything changed multiple times over the moving process, I looked into other options while I was making up my mind. So, first, IKEA. I like their Billy shelves, they look good, but I really wanted gray shelves, so it was a compromise from the…

    August 2020 Reads

Hi-lo! What’s up, what’s up?! 😀 I was super determined to catch up on my reading goal, and I’m so so happy to report that I’m officially no longer behind! Cue confetti canyons!! My bookshelves are going in on Friday! So I’ll see how many books I can get up over the weekend so I can take pictures and talk about it. ^_^ But I have a lot of books I want to talk about, so enjoy. 😀 24: The Beholder Author: Anna Bright Genre: YA Alt History Fantasy Rating: 4 stars I’m a sucker for beautiful writing. ^_^ It’s hard to explain the setting for this book, because I…

    Finally Finished Some Books

Hi! (waves) Wow. I haven’t done one of these since March! I read in April and May but I didn’t finish anything. I read in June, and I finished one thing, and finally got some reading mojo back, and somehow, I didn’t fall grossly behind on my reading goal. I mean, I’m behind, but I’m not stressed about it. I was going to give myself a couple of more days to finish something else, but yeah, that’s not happening. Also, I’m taking a blogging break for a week or four. Maybe, probably. I’ll try. I’m as unpacked as I’m going to get without bookshelves, but they should be up by…

    Random Life: Books & Unpacking

Guys!! There’s going to be a reading update next month! I’m hoping to finish one more book by month’s end. I don’t think that’s going to happen, but I’m excited to be reading with some consistency again. 😀 Especially since I’m not sure I can keep to my book spending goal. Like, I was trying to not buy too much more than 26 books this year, but it’s July, and I’m at 25. Technically, I’m over that, but I’m not counting some of them since I was buying them more for decoration, even though I’m totally planning on reading them as well. Lol! This goal is mostly to help me…

    This Year’s Anniversary Post

Back when I started this blog, 8 years ago now, I always made sure I acknowledged all the significant moments. Not so much anymore, but July is the blog’s birthday month, as well as the month I set aside to celebrate the anniversary of my first finished novel attempt. These days, I don’t feel like celebrating anything writing-related. While this isn’t the case, I want to blame it on replacing my computer in March. Because there was a delay in getting the new one, I ended up with homeless files for around a month. While I was fine, I just didn’t feel like myself. Then I decided to declutter the…
