    The Tree Inspiration Grows On…

…And you can keep it in a little pot on your desk! (Who knew?) Inspiration is everywhere. Literally. It’s not just limited to books. It can be found in the newspaper, in live theatre, on a street corner, at a bus stop, at the movie theater, in the forest, the possibilities are endless…like the universe. Now, everyone is different. I’m not likely to be staring into a car lot and get inspired. It may happen, but unlikely. Other people, may look into that car lot and see Fast and Furious 7 (please, no! Lol!). AW March Blog Chain: Interview with a Leprechaun

This month’s prompt: What the Leprechaun SaidI’ve had the privilege of coaxing a leprechaun into my house this weekend for an interview. The Story Isn’t Going To Write Itself…

…and by the way, the mountain isn’t going to climb itself either. I’ve been thinking about goals lately (guess there’s something in the air) and while I’m not a fan of making “New Year’s Resolutions,” I am a fan of setting goals and working towards them. Usually I make goals like, “Finish story XYZ by 123.” But I don’t ever say HOW I’m going to do that. I don’t make sure I’m setting aside time to write. I don’t make sure I’m taking care of myself so that I have the mental energy to sit down and write. And despite what I sometimes say to myself, “Wow, this story is…

This month’s theme inspired this fabulous, original, narrative poem. ^^ It’s OverHe stands by the polluted watersAnd lifts his face up to the sky.Burning debris falls against his skin,Why couldn’t it have been him who died? He turns away from the dock and closes his eyesIt’s over…He can never face any of the survivors againBut there’s nowhere to take…
