    KonMari-ing My House

So, whilst I was waiting for my computer, which did come in on Friday, and she’s beautiful, I watched Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix and decided to declutter my entire house. Obviously, I was being too ambitious for my own good. BUT, I had already started decluttering my desk, so I was so ready to motivate myself to do more. 😀 The KonMari Method, as it’s called, suggests tidying up by category instead of location, and you start with clothing and that involves taking ALL the clothes out, from wherever they are, and putting them all in a single location. She says the KonMari Method isn’t about minimalism,…

    Random Post About My Computer

You guys!! Before I say anything, there was an actual rooster having a field day outside of my building on Sunday. He was sooo cute. 😀 Next, this month isn’t going so well goals wise, and I know I should be nice to myself and not beat myself up, and I’m trying not to. I’m just a little agitated over my inability to focus and be productive. But like, honestly, it’s okay if I feel off. Pixar’s 22 Rules of Storytelling

One of the nerd channels I follow on YouTube did a video last week talking about the Crimes of Grindelwald and how it fails according to Pixar’s 22 Rules of Storytelling. Writing a script for a movie, writing a book, and writing a graphic novel are all different mediums and require different storytelling styles, but some things are universal and can apply across the board. The 22 Rules of Storytelling are one of those universal things and can be a fun and quick way to discover your own storytelling weaknesses and figure out why an otherwise good movie or book left a weird metaphorical taste on your brain palate. Follow…

Random Life: Changing One of My Goals Already

For some reason, I thought it would be a great idea to study a foreign language this year. To clarify, the goal of studying a language is not the problem. I took French for a year in high school. LOVED it. Then my parents moved to boonyville. They only had Spanish. So the one Spanish kid at school had to take Spanish. It’s so…a bunch of things. So I was forced to take Spanish with a teacher who was lovely, but who moved so slowly through the material that I thought I was going to lose my mind. She was literally supposed to move twice as fast because they’re on…

    Writer Life: Outlining & Worldbuilding

There are words on the page!! My official story notes are organized, and I has words on the page!! 😀 I finished the Neil Gaiman Masterclass, and the last few lessons really bolstered my spirit. ^_^ I decided to start tackling my notes, took me three days, and in the process, I started a document and got words on the page! Basically, it’s either going to be good or it isn’t. That’s all I have to worry about. Or rather, not worry about. It fits my current philosophy on life about not making things too difficult. Instead of giving myself seven options, I give myself two. I can give myself two…
