    Melodramatic Reading Goal Talk :D

For some insane reason, I gave myself 9 books to read in January. >.< In my defense, most of the books are shorter or easier to read. And also in my defense, I actually originally wrote down 8 books, and that’s the goal I have posted by my desk, so really, I don’t have to read 9 books to meet my goal. In any case, it’s halfway through the month (or so), and I have read two books!! Now, I’m not panicking. First of all, if I don’t get all the books read, it’s not a big deal. Second of all, I can still totally read most of them! Like…

    Poetry and Such

GUYS! 😀 I has news! …kinda, sorta, whatever, dontlookatme. >.< So, you may or may not know that around two and a half years ago I had half a mind to publish a book of poems. I never set a deadline for this project, and it was quite easy to push aside, but I did expect to publish it one day. And well…I’m crazy close to my goal. As of this posting, I have the 100 or so poems I wanted, and I don’t know if they’ll all make the final cut, but I’m trying not to be paranoid about it. If I cut something, I want it to be because…

    November Reading Wrap Up!

Yay for exceeding reading goals! 😀 Of course, I’m not going to stop reading just because I crossed the finish line. Bookworms never sleep! ^_^ 53: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Author: Kim Smith Genre: Picture Book Rating: 4 stars Reviewed: No This was super cute and everything, but I thought I’d get to see cartoon, middle-school Buffy kicking cartoon goblin butt, and instead it was all about her “fear” of the dark. The monsters in the closet were all creatures from the TV show, though, so that was fun and nostalgic and kind of creepy. 54: Pippa Author: Malynda Schlegel Genre: Dark Contemporary YA Rating: 4 stars Reviewed: Yes Dudes…seriously? This book…

    Autumn Reading Wrap Up!

😀 GUYS!! I met my 2018 reading goal of 52 books! I was going to raise it again – I raised it twice this year already – but I decided to just enjoy going over. ^_^ Also, Happy Halloween! 🎃 45: Skinny Bitch Authors: Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin Genre: Non-Fiction/Diet and Lifestyle Rating: 4 stars Reviewed: No Not a good book for OCD people. I had two nights of obsessing about weird stuff while reading this book. In the spirit of embarrassing myself, one of those things was Mad Cow Disease. I was legit worried for an entire day about having latent Mad Cow Disease. I never claim to…

Release Day Party: House of Falling Embers :D

GUYS!!! I’m so excited to have another book releasing out into the world today!! ^_^ All the information and links and such will be down below. In the meantime, I wanted to chat about the Creative Well, because my birthday book was born out of an overflowing creative river, so it’s totally appropriate. 😀 The well or river or whatever you want to call it is like the energy source for a writer, right? We fill it with books we love and awesome movies and tv shows, and when it’s overflowing, words are everywhere! But if we don’t fill it with the right fuel, the muse is moody – or gone…
