    Finally Finished Some Books

Hi! (waves) Wow. I haven’t done one of these since March! I read in April and May but I didn’t finish anything. I read in June, and I finished one thing, and finally got some reading mojo back, and somehow, I didn’t fall grossly behind on my reading goal. I mean, I’m behind, but I’m not stressed about it. I was going to give myself a couple of more days to finish something else, but yeah, that’s not happening. Also, I’m taking a blogging break for a week or four. Maybe, probably. I’ll try. I’m as unpacked as I’m going to get without bookshelves, but they should be up by…

    I Has A Library Card!

For a long time, I had a library card. When I was a kid, this was amazing. I lived in the library. You think I’m joking. I am not. I would be at the library for so long that my mother would call and make sure I was still there. I have taken naps in the library. I would check out an armful of books every week. As many as they would lend me. These were glorious times that I think back on with much fondness. And when I first graduated from college, I would go to the library fairly regularly. Then I didn’t go so much, which I’ll get…

    March 2020 Updates

Hi! ^_^ This was a graphic novel heavy month, as I found myself kind of exhausted after finally finishing The Fireman, and while I really liked that book, it was long and exhausting, just like the last Joe Hill book I read, but I’m caught up on his novels now, graphic novels and anthologies aside. I tried to read a YA sci-fi that I picked up from the library. There wasn’t anything wrong with it, but I didn’t finish it because I didn’t care. The main character was smart, sure, but she was boring, and I’m 100% sure I had the entire plot figured out two pages into chapter three. Smart…

    February 2020 Wrap Up

Hiya! 😀 Things started off pretty slow, but I ended up with a pretty good reading month! I also got about 5k words written on the old work-in-progress. After January felt like it went on for five weeks, February felt like it lasted barely three, but that could be due to most of my productivity being in the last ten days of the month. Literally. I watched the first season of YOU on Netflix, about a bookstore manager who stalks this MFA student to make sure she’s “safe” and can be “trusted” with his tiny broken heart. It’s interesting but disturbing. I have questions. I almost want to pick up…

Final Reading Update of 2019 & 2020 Goals

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Happy 2020! Confetti canyon and all that jazz. 😀 It’s New Year’s Day and what better day to wrap up the previous year and lay the foundation for the new year than New Year’s Day?! Also, it’s Wednesday. And on Wednesdays, we post a blog. ^_^ (Mean Girls reference for the win.) First, what books did I finish in December? 59: The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek Author: Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal Genre: Horror/Supernatural Rating: 5 stars I was surprised by how good this was, but I probably shouldn’t have been. I forget how much writing experience they have. Rhett and Link are my favorite Youtubers,…
