A Random & Christmasy Kind of Day

I’m going to have a random kind of day today. (My FAVORITE kind of day!) I saw these Christmas Tag questions in a YouTube video, and since I just LOVE answering questions, I had to have them! ^_^

Christmas Tag Questions!
1) Do you like to stay in your PJ’s or dress up for Christmas?
Neither. I would rather stay in my pajamas all day, but I usually make some attempt at clothing for family visits, even though it’s just the one grandmother now. Ya know what! Imma stay in my pajamas this year, she doesn’t care. 🙂

2) If you could only buy one person a present this year who would it be?
What kind of craziness is this?!! NOOOO, I love shopping. Hmm, I guess my sister. She’s probably the most fun to shop for after my mom.

3) Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
Morning. We never did open presents at night. Although when I buy things for myself, I open them whenever I want.

4) Have you ever built a Gingerbread house?
I have a fuzzy memory of making one at school and going home and being mad when my brother ate it some of it before Christmas. (Without asking anyone if it was okay first, of course.)

5) What do you like to do on your Christmas break?
What is that? Oh, right…yeah, I’m not a teacher and not a student anymore, but when I was a student, I just ate too much at my parent’s house. My mom had the dining table FULL of all kinds goodies, and you could literally graze off it all day and eat nothing else. It was awesome.

6) Favorite Christmas meal or treat?
Popcorn. You know the kind in the holiday tin and you can just mix them all together because who says caramel and cheese don’t go together?!!

7) What’s your favorite holiday movie?
The Muppet’s Christmas Carol. I watch it and sing a-long every year. It’s not Christmas without Dickens! I also really like the original Santa Claus, although now, I spend have the movie kvetching about why Santa has to be so fat and white-haired, and I totally enjoy doing that, too. But WHY?! Why does Santa have to be so fat and gray and like milk and cookies? It doesn’t make any sense! Why can’t Santa wear a business suit or better yet, surfing pants and a lei and nothing else. Even if he has a beer belly still, isn’t that hilarious? Christmas is about joy. That image makes me happy. ^_^

8) Candy Canes or Gingerbread Men?
Gingerbread Men? Neither really because I don’t like peppermint OR ginger, but then again, it depends on the candy cane, because if it’s that multi-colored rainbow one I’ll pick that one 100% of the time over peppermint.

9) Have you ever made a Snowman?
YES! And one year, we still had the bottom of one until April! (Until one of the neighbor boys kicked it over…very disturbed young man that guy, maybe I need to incorporate him into a story and torture him. Muhaha, kick over my snowman butt, ya $%&!)

10) Which do you like better, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Christmas Eve! We always play family games. hugs self Christmas Day was always full of traveling a few hours to see grandparents and then we’d get back late at night. So my memory is full of not getting to play with my stuff until the 26th. Now, we’re all getting old (aka people are starting to bring “friends” home the day of) and we might not even have game time anymore. cries

11) White lights, or colored lights?
On other people’s trees I don’t care as long as they’re not blinking. Or “twinkling” as they like to say. (Long story short it hurts my eyes and gives me a headache and thus I start to panic a little when I see them.) But for myself, colored lights. This year I mixed white lights with a multi-colored string. For a few years I had purple lights!! They were so gorgeous!! And on my very first Christmas Tree, I had blue lights, and they were also gorgeous. 🙂

La, la, la, LA, la, LA, LAAAA!

PJ’s to open presents. Dress up for Christmas dinner. Totally ginger bread over candy cane here. And I do make gingerbread houses! This year I made one where the windows light up. Awesome.
Have a great Christmas K, and all the best for the New Year!

Windows that light up!! So awesome! ^_^ I keep forgetting how little actual ginger there is in gingerbread houses. We have Christmas Eve dinner and leftovers on Christmas.

      Merry Christmas, Sandie!! ^_^
      And Happiest New Year!!

Awww, this is so cute! I prefer Christmas Eve too, but I think it’s because of the anticipation of knowing Christmas is still lingering ahead. Plus we do a pajama party with my in-laws every Christmas Eve, which is just cozy and fun.

And I don’t like gingerbread OR peppermint either. I’d change that question to “Egg Nog or hot chocolate.” Then I could answer “hot chocolate” because, well, it’s chocolate. And it’s hot.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Krystal!

Pajama Party! I’m SO in! ^_^
Hmm, now there’s a tough choice there…I’m the kind of person who can stand outside eating ice cream in the snow, however, not all egg nog is made equal, and it’s pretty darn hard to mess up hot chocolate, so I’d have to go with the chocolate. Plus, there’s just something so comforting about hot chocolate.

I DID have a great day, thank you! ^_^
I’ll talk about it a little bit in my marathon post. 😉
