    Random Post About My Computer

You guys!! Before I say anything, there was an actual rooster having a field day outside of my building on Sunday. He was sooo cute. 😀 Next, this month isn’t going so well goals wise, and I know I should be nice to myself and not beat myself up, and I’m trying not to. I’m just a little agitated over my inability to focus and be productive. But like, honestly, it’s okay if I feel off. And I’ll keep telling myself that until it sinks in. 🙂 The main thing that has me feeling off, though, is that I decided to replace my desktop (iMac) with a laptop (Macbook Air), and of…

    I Has A Library Card!

For a long time, I had a library card. When I was a kid, this was amazing. I lived in the library. You think I’m joking. I am not. I would be at the library for so long that my mother would call and make sure I was still there. I have taken naps in the library. I would check out an armful of books every week. As many as they would lend me. These were glorious times that I think back on with much fondness. And when I first graduated from college, I would go to the library fairly regularly. Then I didn’t go so much, which I’ll get…

    Letting the Bad Guy Win

Guys! Have you ever been watching a movie and wanted the villain to just…get away with everything? I don’t want this all the time. There’s something so satisfying about watching a hero rise up and slay the beast, metaphorically or not metaphorically speaking. But sometimes, I want the bad guy to win. Sometimes I identify too much with them. Sometimes I don’t like the hero! One of my favorite movies of all time, that will remain nameless for this example to avoid spoilers because that twist is too good, has a main character who’s being stalked by a someone who’s getting increasingly more threatening to our hero every time he…

    March 2020 Updates

Hi! ^_^ This was a graphic novel heavy month, as I found myself kind of exhausted after finally finishing The Fireman, and while I really liked that book, it was long and exhausting, just like the last Joe Hill book I read, but I’m caught up on his novels now, graphic novels and anthologies aside. I tried to read a YA sci-fi that I picked up from the library. There wasn’t anything wrong with it, but I didn’t finish it because I didn’t care. The main character was smart, sure, but she was boring, and I’m 100% sure I had the entire plot figured out two pages into chapter three. Smart…

    Quest For A Great Read

Earlier this month A.S. Akkalon wrote a post about the kind of book she loves to read, and therefore loves to write, and I decided to hijack that idea and have some fun analyzing what I want out of a book over here. ^_^ First and Foremost: A ride! Adventure! I want to finish a book and feel like I’ve stepped off a virtual roller coaster, that I’ve been swept away into a world and immersed in it to the a point where it feels so real that I want to live there, but I’m glad I don’t at the same time because it’s dangerous. 😀 Genre: I love all…
