    February 2020 Wrap Up

Hiya! 😀 Things started off pretty slow, but I ended up with a pretty good reading month! I also got about 5k words written on the old work-in-progress. After January felt like it went on for five weeks, February felt like it lasted barely three, but that could be due to most of my productivity being in the last ten days of the month. Literally. I watched the first season of YOU on Netflix, about a bookstore manager who stalks this MFA student to make sure she’s “safe” and can be “trusted” with his tiny broken heart. It’s interesting but disturbing. I have questions. I almost want to pick up…

    January 2020 Wrap Up

Update time! 😀 So…I meant to read one more novel than I did this month, but one of the books I’m shuffling is just hard on my brain, so I’m having to take frequent breaks and read something less taxing, which is working out really well and making that book fun to read again. I’m desperate to know what’s going on, but it’s not getting anywhere fast, and I’m dying. On a random note, I’m trying to be more decisive this year, because some random Chinese Zodiac expert I found via an in-game ad told me that Rats are in for a good year if they can stay focused on…

Final Reading Update of 2019 & 2020 Goals

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Happy 2020! Confetti canyon and all that jazz. 😀 It’s New Year’s Day and what better day to wrap up the previous year and lay the foundation for the new year than New Year’s Day?! Also, it’s Wednesday. And on Wednesdays, we post a blog. ^_^ (Mean Girls reference for the win.) First, what books did I finish in December? 59: The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek Author: Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal Genre: Horror/Supernatural Rating: 5 stars I was surprised by how good this was, but I probably shouldn’t have been. I forget how much writing experience they have. Rhett and Link are my favorite Youtubers,…

November Reads & Final NaNoWriMo Tally

Hiya! Obviously, I didn’t get much reading done this month because of NaNoWriMo, which is totally okay, because as of this posting, I only have two books left to read for the year to meet my goal, and I’m sure I can manage that. 😀 I’m honestly surprised I got anything read this month. When I wasn’t writing or working or forcing myself to go to bed at a decent hour, I was binging Gotham on Netflix. ^_^ 57: Manga Classics: Dracula Author: Bram Stoker, Adapted by: Stacy King, Illustrated by: Virginia Nitouhei Genre: Manga, Horror Rating: 5 stars Reviewed: Yes So satisfying!! I hadn’t read this in so long,…

    October Reads: 2019

Hi! (waves) ^_^ I had to go a little easier on myself this month, because I think I overdid it a bit in September. Lol! 52: Batman: The Killing Joke Author: Alan Moore, Illustrator: Brian Bolland Genre: Comic Book, DC Comics Rating: 4 stars Reviewed: No I like how we get a Joker origin story and we still don’t get his name. This was quite dark. Like, the Joker is an actual psycho. Alan Moore also wrote Watchmen, which is super violent and super dark as well, so I really should have expected it. I didn’t, but I thought this was good. On a side note, I decided to read…
