    October Reads: 2019

Hi! (waves) ^_^ I had to go a little easier on myself this month, because I think I overdid it a bit in September. Lol! 52: Batman: The Killing Joke Author: Alan Moore, Illustrator: Brian Bolland Genre: Comic Book, DC Comics Rating: 4 stars Reviewed: No I like how we get a Joker origin story and we still don’t get his name. This was quite dark. Like, the Joker is an actual psycho. Alan Moore also wrote Watchmen, which is super violent and super dark as well, so I really should have expected it. I didn’t, but I thought this was good. On a side note, I decided to read…

    Getting My TBR Under Control

The Goodreads TBR is not a reflection of all the books on my TBR. It’s only a reflection of books on my TBR that I don’t own. I figured, if I own the book, I should remember to read it. That helped with a fraction of the list. As of writing this, my Goodreads TBR is 174, down from 479. Like, can a girl get a high five or something?! 😀 After deleting all the books I own on a physical or digital shelf, except one, for nonsense reasons, I opened nearly every single other book and skimmed the blurb. Yes, this took days, but like I said in my…

Am I A Book Addict Yet?

Earlier this month I went through my Amazon cart. For most people, this isn’t a big ordeal. Maybe you have ten things in there. Maybe you have fifty. I had three hundred and thirty items in my cart. Yeah. 330. For one thing, scrolling through this many items is tedious as hell. So I wouldn’t. And I’d often scroll through and see things that I’d already bought. So, one day, in true me fashion, I decided to just sit down and get as many items out of the cart as I could. My goal was 90% – which would take the cart from 330 to 33. I’m happy to report…

    September Reads: 2019

Happy October! 😀 You guys. This was such a great month for reading. I just can’t. I’m so happy. ^_^ But I’ll stop gabbing because I finished 11 books this month and have stuff to say! 😀 41: The Poison Diaries Author: Jane, The Duchess of Northumberland Genre: Horror Rating: 4 stars Reviewed: No This was kind of like a handwritten journal with drawings. It’s a fictional account of a boy who can communicate with plants, and the ones in the poison garden try to convince him to kill his evil overseer with their help. They tell him stories of how they’ve killed people, and it’s weird but interesting, and…

    Author Interview with Jodi Perkins

GUYS! I has an awesome guest today! Jodi Perkins, author of suspenseful, page-turning, and fantastical YA! BLACK LILIES was released earlier this month, part two in a series featuring a quartet of sisters with exciting season-based abilities. There’s a theme of time manipulation that runs through the books, and today, Jodi answers some of my nosy burning questions about the series, time travel, and saving yourself from a Goldilocks eating bear. Part of BLACK LILIES takes place in the 19th century. How much research did you have to do for this part of the story, and how much fun did you have? I honestly knew nothing about the 19th century. I mean, really,…
