GUYS! 😀 I have a guest on the blog today! But quick writing update before introductions.
Last week, I tried to close my story document, and about two seconds later, I reopened it again. My point was that I was trying to tell myself that it was okay if I didn’t feel like writing right now. And as soon as I accepted that it was indeed okay for me to do nothing, I immediately wanted to do something. Isn’t that how life works? 😛
Surprisingly, I’m still working on the same thing I was working on last month, and I wrote over 5k words last weekend. It’s mostly terrible, and I’m being super hard on myself. But since there’s no deadline for the project right now, I can edit as much as I want. Heh.
I don’t know why beginnings are so rough for me, but since I’m well aware of this, I’ve taken to binging The Office most days to keep myself chill. ^_^ Rest and comedy are important. And you know what else is important? Spreading good cheer! 😀
Let me introduce the Guest of Honor! ^_^
Melissa Chan is the designer and owner of Literary Book Gifts, and today, she’s stopped by the blog to talk gift ideas and give you guys a discount code for her store! In full disclosure, I’m not getting any kind of kick-back – I just wanted to give her a shout out, because I think her shop is cool. 🙂
