I’d Like To Thank The Academy…

I’m bringing you this extra special blog post because July is full (yes, I’m crazy) and blogger & writer Elise Fallson has bestowed upon me the Very Inspiring Blogger Award seen here:

Inspiring Blogger

I’d like to thank Elise for my very first blog award, and if you haven’t been to her blog, I encourage you to check it out. Elise is awesome. πŸ™‚

The Rules:
1* Display the award on your blog (check)
2* Link back to the person who gave you the award (check)
3* Share 7 things about yourself (all righty)
4* Nominate 15 other bloggers for the award and link back to them (Elise only nominated one person so I will just nominate one person as well ^_^ – see the bottom of this post)

7 Things You Can’t Go Back In Time & Forget
1* I’m a huge fan of historical fiction, especially historical romance, but also biographical and autobiography fiction revolving around historical figures.
2* I love swords, daggers, knives, and other weaponry and dream of adding a battle axe and a crossbow to my collection one day.
3* I’m a huge Hello Kitty Fan. For my birthday I bought myself a huge Hello Kitty tote and matching wallet. ^_^
4* I buy season tickets to the Opera.
5* Hot weather makes me physically ill.
6* I sew as a hobby and I’m always surprised when I’m make something and it looks good.
7* I own seven magic wands. (And none of them work. Lol!)

And the nominee is….writer & blogger Michelle: of The Sunflower’s Scribbles. I always enjoy swinging by her blog. She posts about some very interesting topics. Unfortunately, some of the posts are giving my brain a horrible urge to write that historical thriller we’ve been thinking about for a few years. πŸ™‚

Side Note: Quick writing update. I’ve drafted a new query for Chains of Destiny! I have a few more tweaks to make and about another week or so before the rewrite is done and ready. Well, correction, I have 10 days to get it done and ready so I can enter the Christmas in July Pitch Contest. And if I can come up with a decent 35 words, I want to do #PitchMas, as well. But anyway, I’m so excited, the query is hardest part for me, given my tendency to over-think and obsess about stuff. Part of the reason July is full of posts already is because I wanted to give myself as much time as possible to work on my rewrite and get submissions ready. The rewriting is going pretty well. I’m not feeling all that confident about the upcoming revisions, but I’m sure the story is in better shape than I’m thinking…it usually is. On a random note, I realized I had accidentally deleted my favorite sentence in the entire story! Good thing I read it about 100 times and remembered it verbatim.

Happy July! Free water for everyone!

  1. Congrats Krystal! It's totally deserved!I was- once upon a time- also way into swords. But I concluded it wasn't practical with all the moves I was doing and sort-of gave up on it. Still love visiting armorys, though! And I agree with you about the hot weather- I'll be SO happy when fall comes again!Good luck on pitches!!!

  2. My favorite is the pewter one with quartz on the tip. It looks really classy and I like how solid it feels in my hand. If only one of my wands was going to work, I would pick that one. Lol!

Hi! ^_^
