My iPhone is not just a cell phone to me.
It’s my home phone.
It’s my calculator.
It’s how I check my email in the morning.
It’s a source of entertainment.
It’s how I keep track of appointments and other important events.
It’s my backup alarm clock.
It’s my lifeline to the outside world.
So when I stumbled into the bathroom with my phone last Friday morning and it flew into the toilet, I was in shock.
I tried to replace it with a Palm Pre 2. Those phones are terrible. It ran hot. So hot it literally burnt my hands and it was even hotter when it was charging. The battery lasted about 5 hours 2 days in a row, the second day with minimal use because every time I looked at it, the battery percentage had dropped 20%. I’m sending it back tomorrow.
Today I broke down and bought another iPhone. I know the iPhone 5 is due out soon, but I don’t want just any old phone. I want my iPhone 4s. And today, I realized just how stressed out I’ve been without my glass and metal. On a scale of 1 to 10, an easy 8. It’s a used iPhone. But it’ll be here tomorrow and just the promise of it has cut my stress in half. Now I can relax and enjoy my lackadaisical day. ^_^
